I don't like to use the word on a Linux Group ;), but why not try the modem in a different machine on Windows? If it doesn't work then, it's a hardware fault. There's no point chasing your tail for a software fault that may not even exist :) If it works on a different machine in Windows then it *is* a Linux issue, but if it doesn't the modem is stuffed and you can save yourself a lot of wasted energy :) Kind regards, Julian -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
