Based on rumour and heresay only - yes - some things need to be
modified to work correctly under X.org. Not much but if it matters
to you you'll probably not like X.org yet.

I'm not aware of compelling technical, and licence changes to make
the switch, but I dare say it got well discussed on the Debian
mailing list - probably the place to look.

Debian plan to introduce X.org after the release of Sarge, but other
than licencing issues, and planned changes, I don't think there is
much to choose between them at the moment. It gets mentioned in the
Interview on referred to on Slashdot today.
