I wouldn't worry about it Noel, someone's having a bad keyboard day :D
For mp3/.ogg amaroK rules. Sensible playlists, cover image manager, transparent handling of tags and directories, smart playlists, who needs video? I just want audio in the background whilst I code. I need it to pick out my favourite tracks without sifting through pages of menus, and just play them for hours and hours while I concentrate on more important things. I don't need one utility that binds all audio/video together. I'm happy with one for .ogg and one for DVD. The other formats, I simply don't use.
Had a play with MadMan? I never really got into it until my bro-in-law started playing with it. He likes it because (apparently) it's quite like iTunes... whatever that is?! I quite like it because of it's search facility. Don't really much use for it's "builtin playlists" (things like "Top 20 Most Played"). Also got a nice web "front end" that allows streaming of files... now if I could only get that VPN to work :p Grant. -- Artificial intelligence is no match for nuratal stidutipy. -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
