Which OO.org will generally handle .DOC, .XLS & .PPT (and their 
varients) in some cases better than MS Office. I am not aware of 
anything which will open .MDB or .PUB.

Whilst OO.org does have the ability to handle databases it cannot open 
MS Access files.
