There is no legal structure in any country that can be described as Intellectual Property. It does not exist as a legal entity. IPR is FUD. It never existed, it never will. It's a construct of other legal structures, not an entity in itself. You only confuse the issues when you use such invalid terminology. You may talk of copyright, copyleft, licences, EULA, NDA, but IP in terms of intellectual property, does not exist. IP means Internet Protocol as in TCP/IP. The quote about no software owners relates to: 1. The actual bytes on the filesystem 2. The licence - if any 3. Copyright. Copyright is temporary and as I've said before, is strictly for the benefit of the PUBLIC, not the protection of the author. This is why copyright is always temporary. -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ http://www.isbn.org.uk/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/isbnsearch/ http://www.biglumber.com/x/web?qs=0x8801094A28BCB3E3
