Sorry, careless lack of translation of address.

Hi Adrian,

As a lifelong "enduser" with what might be called a season ticket to the
NHS in the form of Spina Bifida, I like the idea of Linux for widespread
NHS use. Reliability, speed and of course major cost savings. I
especially like the mention of millions of pounds of savings, which I'm
sure you'll agree would be much better spent on patient care. Anyway
that's in danger of turning into a political rant which is not what the
group is about so I'll shush now :)

Kind regards,

Julian

Definately.I mean, didn't Sasser shutdown life support equippment throughout
Hospitals in the United States?

Furthermore,I couldn't believe what I was reading a few months ago,when there
were plans to provide a PC for every patient to use whilst in Hospital. All
decked out with Bill Gates bloatware, naturally.Just imagine the licensing
fees.(Please tell me those bright sparks all slipped into their think-tank
and drowned, and the notion was dropped).
Let's not even mention the £2 million website....

They should take a leaf out of Speedy's book, and opt for the free version of
Debian.
Of course, that would have the knock-on effect of more wide spread, accessible
GNU/Linux training courses.
