Glad you've found Debian -- using testing myself now, on a mixture of old Macintosh and PC computers, as well as keeping my hand in with Spectrum and CPC software.

Is there much activity there? I moved onto the PC around 1991.


I'm a bit advocate of free software, severely dislike "open source" and work in my spare time for the Free Software Foundation, doing accessibility and usability for their website.

Is it safe to ask why you dislike open source? As a concept or merely as a method of development?

I'm not too clued about the ins and outs of it tbh. I do some perl and
release to odd bit, but tend to find out after I've written something
that somebody else has done it better already...
