The main server at work, at the surgery, has now been changed from a stable NT4 Small Business Server 4a to SuSE Linux 9.0 on the smae hardware. The SBS was theoretically capable of software RAID, but never set up that way. The Linux version is running software RAID 1 which does seem to be speeding read access and is reassuring. I was impressed with how easy it was to set up RAID. A successful exercise.
