Re: [LUG] August Meeting

I'd very much like to come to a DCLUG meeting, not least for key-signing
purposes, but the August date unfortunately clashes with a re-enacmtnet

this year...

If you fancy a meeting at another time, just find a venue and announce it -
the group covers a very large area and most members are not able to get to
certain meetings. There is a meeting in Paignton on Thu 15th-Jul-2004 7:00pm
http://www.dclug.org.uk/linux_uk/events.php

I'm not able to get to that one but there may be others there with GnuPG keys.
If not, it's still worth meeting other members.

There are quite a few members in Plymouth, just down the road from you, so a
pub meeting in Tavistock or Yelverton or maybe on Dartmoor somewhere - if you
have a favourite pub or other venue, let us know when it is available. Every
meeting draws in people from outside the immediate area - usually Simon or I
get to each one along with Rick and Neil S. who turn up (mainly for the beer)
when they can, although usually late.
:-))

Take a look at the Meetings Report too.

We can always do with more meetings.

That goes for other areas too - anyone is free to setup meetings, no matter if
only 2 or 3 turn up. Just book a venue and announce it.

PS. LinuxWorld Expo, Olympia, London. 6-7th October.
including the Great Linux Debate.

I'll be there for both days. Mick? Rick? Neil S.?
I'm hoping to use some free night vouchers for a hotel - that means I don't
have to rush off anywhere after the Expo and am likely to get strangely drawn
to a real ale pub by about 6pm, until ...

Who says DCLUG meetings have to be in Devon or Cornwall???
