Most of the political parties don't have any published policy on software patents. I believe that the Lib Dems as a party are against software patents (but I don't think this is an official policy), as are the Greens (who are also for Free software). You've very unlikely to find any view from specific candidates, but you could always e-mail them.
As we're voting for a party, you'd probably be best emailing the head offices. I've emailed on numerous occaisions - hopefully this time i might even get an answer. Interestingly quite a few of the South West's Lib Dem candidates have cix.co.uk email addresses. I thought cix was used primarily by us geeks - or was that only in the old days.
