[LUG] Suse 9.0 and kernel 2.6

What a brutal job getting it all to work!
For those interested ftp.gwdg.de in linux/suse/susepeople/kraxel/i386
has got precompiled default kernels 2.6.1 for suse 8.2 and 9.0 along with
other rpms required such as modutils and aaa_base(8.2 req)
word to the wise, you also need a special version of the nvidia package
to get X back up after installation(if you possess such a card) and forget 
yast for sound card configuration as module names and locations have changed.

however it does all work and for us mere mortals alot easier than having to go 
through a gazillion options and compiling your own kernel from source.
