I 'trialed' WineX3.1 from www.suprnova.org to play Warcraft3.

Details are on my blog somewhere:

Briefly I am disappointed. There is always some niggly problem with the
mouse movement or *something*, and I am now of the propaganda spilling
from Transgaming. I believe native games are the only way. Hence I
implore you to petition for native game development. Half Life 2:

I love games. I work on games (http://mistaril.com/) I have been mostly
playing True Combat v.1 with Quake 3 and http://www.voidwars.com/ If I
had some more cash I would by nintendo*
