I also emailed Blizzard recommending OFSET to his constituent, but it is
old news, if he gets many more emails from Devon today he is going to
think either it is a conspiracy, or that we really are 10 months behind
the rest of the world ;-)

Still good to hear from Tom that some progress is being made in Torbay
area with Linux in schools, even if it is driven by shortage of cash for
Microsoft licences, hardly an ideal situation to try out a new approach.

Am I right in understanding you were doing this in your own time Tom?
Seems disappointing it isn't part of your job yet if that is the case.

I'm kind of having several conversations on this topic today (due to
clearing out most of my inbox), some of which is stimulated by AFFS
activity - see www.affs.org.uk.

Like all organisations trying to get stuff to work at the grass roots
whilst getting attention from the politicians we need people at the
schools to say what works and what doesn't, which projects/groups to
support and promote.
