SIS is listed in the video drivers...

Take a look at the review of Mandrake on a laptop - my own laptop (this one) 
runs SiS. Is this a TFT panel or a CRT monitor?


Now there are things I can do with a box with no X on it, but that isn't
atually the box I'd want to do them on.

Which distro? Mandrake9 has created a working X install on SiS OK, as did 
RedHat 7.2
