-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Does anyone have some idea why my laptop plays all manner of sounds at max volume EXCEPT CD audio which always plays so quietly that I can hardly hear it over the fan! (MP3's can drown out the TV with ease). It's a laptop, RedHat 7.2, kmix set to max volume on all sliders, XMMS and gtcd also at 100%. The CD drive plays at a really incredible volume under M$ so it is capable of it, it's not just a question of the small laptop speakers. Any ideas? Where do I start looking? (P.S. I've found drivers for TWO Winmodems now, (second one about to be tested), so just having a PCI internal modem is not as much of a problem as it has been - take a look at linmodems.org, download scanModem and see if there is a driver.) - -- Neil Williams ============= http://www.codehelp.co.uk/ http://www.dclug.org.uk/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE91CXZk7DVr6iX/QIRAiTdAKCFobsVnvJ7W7+l6IU/AuorgJBUKACfWViP ePG5Glwly3lvrHau2b4MQmE= =n2Bd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
