Can anyone please recommend a web cam (low price) which works with Linux,

all the philips on http://www.smcc.demon.nl/webcam/ work well, i've had almost
all of them at one point or another working fine with linux.

the creative webcam (small evil little grey thing with a swivel on it) works
well too, though the pic was a bit urghgh (though that was about 3 years
ago.. drivers may well ahve imporved).

The only problem with the philips drivers is using the pwcx (which is the
compression stuff for the cam) module will taint your kernel as it's not open
source (gasp!) though you can get away without using it, your pictures will
be a smaller size.
