After Chas sent me a copy of Redhat 7.2, I installed it on my main PC. It took 3 attempts to get a working system. The first attempt, the graphical installer crashed just after the package selection screen. On my 2nd attempt, it installed successfully, but Grub couldn't boot Redhat. And for those who prefer Lilo, you can still choose to install that instead of grub. I am not 100% of why it wouldn't load, however I believe making your boot partition a ext3 filesytem, instead of ext2 was not a good move. My 3rd and final attempt installing Redhat was successful, using only ext2 partitions. Other than that KDE looks very, nice indeed, there seem to be some nice options in there. However, since I couldn't do a full install due to a lack of disc space, I'm probably missing some of the new goodies. Overall, it feels a bit rushed out, and should have been polished a little more. Already there are about 75megs of updates for Redhat 7.2, which does not feel like a good sign, though the majority of the updates are for the kernel due to the local ptrace exploit discovered a week ago.
