They seem to be deleting e-mails from my machine after receipt without attempting to bounce them or inform the intended recipient. I'm pretty sure that it is because they list Demon Internet SDU accounts in a DUL, and apply additional SPAM checks to such e-mails. But until AOL actually respond to my e-mails and confirm this I'm loathed to start trying to relay some mail via other servers just to work around their bad practices. In the light of which I would have to strongly recommend against using AOL for e-mail. They might be good at other stuff, but since other ISPs exists who do e-mail well as well as all the other stuff, I'd say they have reached the faceless burocracy stage and are best avoided. The contrast between AOLs customer service and other European ISPs, is remarkable, but I guess people never experience this if their Internet experience comes from loading up the ubiquitous AOL CD's. People should ask if their product is so good how come they need to market it so heavily. -- Are you using the Internet to best effect ? www.eighth-layer.com Tel: +44(0)1395 232769 ICQ: 116952768 Moderated discussion of teleworking at news:uk.business.telework -- The Mailing List for the Devon & Cornwall LUG Mail majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxx with "unsubscribe list" in the message body to unsubscribe.
