If I remember correctly the engineering people were in Newport road, the maths lot in Senghennydd (!) road. The computer centre was in an old TV studio! (in Park place I think...god it's all coming back now...Argh!!!) I assume things have changed there a bit now! As to the job front, sorry can't help there. We used to take on Uni students during the Summer but I'm not sure that is done now. You could always try the personnel dept here and just ask if there is anything going that they know of (phone number: 01752-232180). If you already have digs in Cardiff then you may want to try their personnel dept as well. Good luck with work and Cardiff!
