Subject: [LUG] Firewalls

I want a firewall for use at home, and have looked at a number of offerings,
including SmoothWall and Linux Router Project.

Has anyone - I know at least one of you has! - got any experience with
either of
these? Is there anything else worth considering?

I am prepared to build my own. At a minumum, kernel 2.4.x with IP Tables and
xNAT should suffice, with a little bit of DHCP and
dynamic DNS thrown in for good measure. Any thoughts?

Cheers,
Matthew
