[LUG] d&c talk/expo?

I was thinking about how to raise awareness of how great oss was in devon
and cornwall and mulling over how to persuade digital peninsula and
cornwall college to switch to real operating system (or at least give it a
go).

The idea of blagging a small hall somewhere in cornwall (and maybe another
in truro) and having everybody come to us rather than the other way around
would be cool.

Roger W from SuSE seems happy to get about a bit, so he could do a
keynote, with local people and us doing brief talks on how cornwall(and
devon) can benefit, I know one of the companies I spoke to about a job
uses linux heavily and they would probably be happy to do a talk, possibly
get one of the london crew (ex-plymuff uni posse and chums) to talk about
how its used for the net, maybe even Mabs or John Horne to talk about how
it is used at plymuff.

Also I am about to write a(nother) letter to computer weekly because they
are spouting pro-ms anti-OSS BS again.
