RE: [LUG] src rpms.



The src RPMs exist so you can just update the tar file in a src RPM and then
you're running a new version of the software.  Most src RPMs also contain stuff
like init scripts, patches to the source, and of course the SPEC file which
determines how the RPM is built.  Have a look at the src RPM for something like
apache - there is a whole load of extra cruft in there.
