RE: [LUG] BIND and non 255.255.255.0 netmasks.

Ah. I would have just found out that I have been making my life a bit
unnecessarily difficult this morning.

Doh!

As this nameserver is the only one on the network, just having normal
reverse lookup zones such as 16.16.172.in-addr.arpa. and
18.16.172.in-addr.arpa. and the rest of them works fine.

The only reason it seemed to be working incorrectly was that sshd (in its
ultra-paranoidness) was trying to check the authority/authenticity of the
records and failing (because its a closed network) and therefore only giving
my address as an IP when I logged in. If I log in via telnet its fine!.

Oh well. Its been a learning experience.

Cheers everybody.

Alex.
