Re: [LUG] Konqueror

It does, however, represent stylesheet commands 100% accurately. The codehelp
site looks the same in Konqueror as in Netscape4 and IE4/5. Konqueror reports
as Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; Konqueror/2.0; X11) and the site then passes
standard CSS and DHTML that Konqueror renders perfectly, including customised
colours and fonts for heading tags, bold tags, links, and paragraph text. It
cannot be faulted when compared with Opera, IE, Netscape, or Mozilla.
Seriously, I've tried 'em all with the codehelp site. The old version of
Konqueror that came with Mandrake 7.0 was not CSS compliant but v2 is truly
compliant.

Umm, actually, it is doing what it is meant to do. Only IE applies font
colours in this way and it is actually the WRONG way according to the W3C
standards. Try making sure ALL <font> tags are closed within the nested tags
above and below.

It's always wise to test pages in a strict browser like Opera - Netscape has
lost the crown of the 'strictest' standards when it lost it's way over the
DOM issue. Netscape6 is still too new to know which way it's gone.

Anyone got Netscape6 for linux yet?
