Hi
I regularly download emails as eml files to convert to pdf to keep a
separate log of conversations etc. Is there an application in Linux
that will convert the files to pdf's for me. Also is there anyway to
have routine jobs performed as actions within the system. The idea is
that when I need to convert a file to pdf from eml I drop it into a
folder called edf say and that then carries out the task for me
automatically.
Many thanks
Rich
There's this tool: https://github.com/nickrussler/email-to-pdf-converter
Somebody on StackExchange has given some information about how you can
use this with a shell script to do this in batches:
https://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/346982/command-line-tool-to-batch-convert-eml-emlx-mbox-to-searchable-pdfs.
The only thing you would need to dadd in the `do` loop is a step to
copy or move the output file to the folder you want to move them to.
You should be able to store the script and run it as a cron job if you
want it to run on a schedule.
