Blimey! I have just been running some Tensorflow stuff from python and
using the standard install for tensorflow a job took about 20 minutes
and warmed all 8 CPUs up over 60C and above. It did warn that there were
some SSE.2 and other optimizations that it had not been compiled for so
I spent some time building it for my machine and getting it working. It
now runs nearly twice as fast and about 5C cooler.
I'm surprised there was such a difference but its worth considering for
any any Maths intensive code!
