Re: [LUG] Merry Christmas All.. automount problem with kernel 41.3 on Mint 18.3

Thanks Simon.

This is the dmesg output before and after manually mounting the shares; as you can see there is no change. I assume I need to look in a different log? It looks as though the network is up which is one issue the forums suggested; if it wasn't I wouldn't get any network activity and I do.

Merry Christmas at you too!

What do the logs say when you try to mount them manually?

Hi All,

Merry Christmas everyone!

I've just updated the kernel from 4.11.* to 4.13.* and immediately it's
refused to automount my NAS shares which previously worked perfectly.

# automount CASSIOPEIA on NAS
192.168.1.3:/volume1/CASSIOPEIA /media/julian/CASSIOPEIA nfs
# automount DIANA on NAS
192.168.1.3:/volume1/DIANA /media/julian/DIANA nfs
# automount PERSEPHONE on NAS
192.168.1.3:/volume1/PERSEPHONE /media/julian/PERSEPHONE nfs

As you can see they're pretty basic and they mount manually with sudo
mount -a. Any suggestions please?

Kind regards,

Julian
