Late thought. Is DVD defective? If it will not play in a DVD player
that other DVDs play in, namely your one, then you may have a warranty
claim against seller.Whether you can enforce a re-placement or not or
cash back depends on who you bought it from and how you bought it.
"Goods must be of merchantable quality" It is the widest claim but only
you know how you acquired the DVD.
Try DVD in a friend's Windows OS system, the most common OS and use VLC
as player, before any claim.
I have no idea if DVDs can be made only macbook specific, but if bought
from or acquired from a mac store...?
