Re: [LUG] Excel Spreadsheet formula

i do believe it takes a lot of effort to learn database cos there is a
lot of theory that backs it all up. it a difficult to construct the
tables and relationships correct first time and takes a lot design and
thinking away from the computer , to get it correct and as the demands
of user change over time it gets more and more difficult to fit in new
fields and new tables into existing structure and sometimes it that
big of change to the proposal system that the database design needs to
be started again , i have been involved with quite a few projects that
had many attempts and some of is no ones fault just the changing
landscape these apps live in and demands from other entity make on
them etc etc and the sytem just grows and grows and grows n becomes
unmanagable
this not to put anyone off just the reality of being a programmer and
a designer of systems its really hard hill to climb
