Re: [LUG] Backups and Storage

I am looking at two synology nas drives, one for cloud and one to backup the cloud, the cloud will be hosted from home and the back up from my old dears house. Great for keeping a private cloud and an off - site backup.

Encrypted external hard disks at a nearby and trusted friends house. Although can be a pain since its not automated. Given that my main machine has just gone POP, let's hope I have done s fairly recent back up. lol.

Merry Xmas all.

Cloud is probably fine for backups, since as long as you monitor it,
even if they disappear you can just switch to a new backup provider.
