I have a desktop computer which is the main one for me. I also have a laptop for testing etc. My wife also had her own, rather old, laptop which has now more or less died. So I am letting her use mine meanwhile. I now find that she is leaving the power switched on all the time. I have always thought that the way to work with laptops was to charge the battery fully, then turn off the power, use the laptop via the battery and then recharge as necessary. Leaving the power on all the time, I thought, was not a good idea. But then I am fairly new to laptops. Can anyone advise me on this please?
