Sorry to hijack, but...

I agree, udevd is an utter sod to set up. I consider myself fairly familiar and competent with linux, but I have a blindspot with udevd and simply don't understand why the user is expected to go through so many hoops to get, for example, consistent mount points (I have three /dev/ttyUSB devices that juggle position, and two more /dev/dvb devices. I have written successful rules to do this, but half the guides are now out of date)

Anyone know of an easier way to manage udevd rules? (Ie, something that lists devices and asks what you would like it mounted as next and every time?)  It's one of those utterly horrible things that somebody must have written a pretty frontend to....
