For all I know, elinks may be far superior than w3m. The latter can do 
what I want it to do in a way that works for me. That's good enough 
for me.
And, despite its relative obscurity, w3m is installed on most distros 
by default.

I use (f)ckeditor driving a PHP backend into mysql to do all my documentation and doc store. I'm hoping to add a code editor some time soon and I'm halfway* through building an access/paradox clone that works in the browser. In a couple of years when you ask me what my most used app is it will be the browser and whatever smartarse name I can come up with for the above.
