My Galaxy Notes uses MFT as a disk format - I think that's pretty standard for Galaxys. You need to check if Mint has that support. Older Ubuntus needed an extra package installed but 12.10+ had it as standard. Having said that, with my phone, I need to switch on Developer USB support (in Settings) for it to be picked up as something I can read/write to - it didn't used to, but some update over the last few months has caused the change. I tend to use AirDroid for most transfers. Martin |
