Re: [LUG] get_iplayer streaming [Was Username]

 Hi All,

Just a quick note; I nearly binned this thread unread until I noticed the subject had been changed to something totally different. Could I please ask that a new separate email be written for a new subject, not just reply to an existing thread and change the Subject line?

Kind regards,

Julian

Indeed it is, however many media players will accept an M3U file to direct it to the actual media itself. Certainly I found "back in the day" many Internet radio stations would provide either M3U or PLS files with a single entry in the playlist that pointed to the stream.

It should be possible to "just play" the stream by pointing the media player at the M3U file.

Grant.

I'm pretty sure that .3mu is a playlist descriptor, not actually a
    playable file.

    Ah ha: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U

    Cheers
