Hi Edward One of the biggest reason is no electricity. I know the pi can run on batteries so I'm hoping that I can pick up a camera that will run on batteries and can control the pi. But what about the hardware rig please. Will this run on batteries and where do I go looking please? -- Kind regards Richard Brown The Street Outreach Project CIC http://tsop.org.uk/ m: 07747 343637 On 18 Nov 2012, at 20:04, Edward Finlayson wrote: > Yes, the pi is a great controller for this sort of application, though to be > honest by the time that you've spent out on the hardware rig: stepper motors, > rails, spindles etc, it's still potentially quite an expensive solution.
