On most regular PCs "lshw" uses the DMI data (although can be told to
ignore it) so it is largely presenting similar information, but more
comprehensive and more comprehensible (which is probably more important
for most people).

I like lshw too.
Using
sudo lshw -html>lshw.html
will give you a lovely web page of your machines devices.
It even marks some in red - I guess this means there’s a problem some were but I've not found any documentation on that yet
