Mine does save to *.doc and *.docx. (LO 3.4.1 + kubuntu 11.04). But I did have exactly the same problem as Rhia describes when I first switched from OpenOffice to Libre. I still don't know exactly what cured it but in the end I did a complete removal of OOo and Libre (removing configuration files too) then reinstalled LO and now all seems OK. But does anyone know what caused the problem and is there a less nuclear solution? Rod PS Were you saving a file first created in *.odt? Or was it imported from *.doc or *.dot, worked on as *.odt, then re-saved (or not) to *.doc or *.docx? Documents created from MS-Word template (*.dot) are generally a pain...
