This could be a terminology thang: I'd call an n port switch a 1G switch if each of the n ports can deliver 1GI'd call an n port switch a 100M switch if each of the n ports can deliver 100M even if their was an upstream connection of 1G. A 24 port one of these would be adequate in somewhere with a lot of idiots downloading and burning DVD's!
