I've just started Evolution and imported one of my mail accounts. It now has a total size of just shy of 1GB and resident set just under 250MB. I believe Thunderbird 3 is supposed to be much better and is in Ubuntu 10.04. I've had no end of trouble with 10.04 so far though. It crashes on boot on my laptop (which runs 9.04 and 9.10 perfectly) and failed to install on the kids' PC (which runs 9.10, XP and Win7 fine, though Win7 took some fiddling to get the right drivers installed). I'm not desperately inclined therefore to install it on my desktop or my Aspire One as I really don't want to be without them.
