This seems to be rather dim paranoia, done as a sort of hobby rather
than based on any real threat. Especially from people who are supposed
to be IT literate. In what way is a computer record less secure than a
few bits of paper that often go walk-a-bout and get left any place in a
busy hospital?

When I end up in A&E I'd like it that the people dealing with me could
have an accurate record of allergies, medications and so on.

At the moment if you are going through medical procedures not based at
your own GP surgery you are often your own Summary Care Record. This
means that everything has to be explained at length to every new
consultant, specialist, nurse or whomever every time.

This may be fine for you, who has a %100 effective memory, not so for me
as I might miss some small but vital point and certainly not for my dad
whose comprehension is slow and fact retention poor - and he isn't even
suffering any form of dementia, perfectly compos, but 95 years old.

When he falls over in the street and needs treatment he's going to have
a great time listing the medications he takes and previous procedures
carried out.

Any bored clerk is fine to surf my SCR, much joy and amusement may it
bring them! At least as text on a screen they'll be able to read it
properly.

Ought to get rid of that Big Brother Big Government NHS anyhow.

Oh no, there are black helicopters with UN markings coming over
Exmoor....
