(also, doesn't the business technically need a radio license, and depending on the type of business, a PRS license?).

The PRS bullies will get you... Did a sweep of some shops here recently too - and a few are now displaying their nice red stickers... A few of my customers have been called up and asked about their music on hold too. Even when told that the PRS does not represent the artists concerend they still try to extort money out of them. I'm just waiting for them to try it with me... Call recording at the ready...

(And just for the record, I think it's fair that artists should be a payment for use of their work, I just don't think the way the PRS go about it is fair at all)

And I'll add to this - that shoppie in Scotland that was threatened recently in a palce called Clackmannanshire .. (In the town of Clacknannan no-less) was near where I was brought up before moving to Edinburgh!

It annoys me when the PRS want to stop you playing a radio at work when you've already paid for the content via your license fee for the BBC and the advertisers paying for the content on the commercial stations. Hmph!
