Re: [LUG] Touch Book

Found this line on the website rather interesting "The world's first netbook with a detachable keyboard." as wasnt there a netbook by elonex that had the same concept and was to sell for like 100 pounds? I know it didnt ship on time and i suppose Al is poking fun at this fact :)

this line was also funny "Until now, all netbooks were engineered the same way: Power-hungry Intel Atom, ugly case, and outdated 90's OS" considering they dont even have a product in the market yet and compared to something like the asus s101 slim netbook it is defiately the ugly duckling. Oh and in the demo videos it looks like it is running xp ;)

now idont knoe how the texas ARM chip holds up to the atom but i do know that most modern netbooks are getting between 8 and 12 hours battery life minimum which in my books is pretty good.

though i do have to say the magnet idea for the fridge is great and should they ship for 200 i would buy one just for that reason :)

Bet it's more like £299 when/if it finally ships.

Cheers,
