Re: [LUG] OT: Arduinos (was OT: Hacker Groups)

Even at £14 it's pretty reasonable.  I see they do other stuff too such as the colour LCD screen.  Hmmm... I'm starting to wonder if I can interface this to a small low power Linux box to use as a glorified MP3 player for my car.  Okay maybe I should just get a kit and make some LEDs flash first :-)

I think that the sky is the limit.  Arduino is quite mature now, there are a ton of projects around that have used them.  I did a quick search and found this:

22khz mono, so not ideal.  Wouldn't surprise me if someone hadn't already made something and shoved a circuit diagram on the net somewhere.

I was reading up on etching boards.  Seems fairly simple (I did a bit of etching PCBs at school) but I'd be a bit worried about all the chemicals.  I mean for starters how do you dispose of used chemicals?

I read on hackaday a while back that someone was using the tiniest amount of acid to etch boards, just using a sponge iirc to bathe the board, rather than submerging them and using bubblers etc.

So using a small amount using the above and watering it down as Gordon described should do the trick.
