Thanks Ill have a look Meanwhile I have found my Spare NW card is a RTL8185L chip so I wont be wirlessing on Linux any time soon! It is loaded by the kernel but as soon as you bring it up the system freezes and all I can do is use the reset sw. Perhaps that's the reason it's a spare card.
