Hi Viv,

My main issue with AVG 8 is that it requires SP2, which on my system 
breaks too many things.  *After* a full system backup I may try SP3 to 
see if that's any better.  For now I've done the same as you and 
installed Avast.  One question, I thought Avast had a free version, at 
least it says so on their website, but having installed it, it seems to 
be only a demo, have I missed something?

I also use Spybot, but I used AVGAS on the basis that no one program 
finds everything.
