RxTx is the biggest problem,  and I will carefully study what you have
said.   However using this old copy and then putting a link in works.
The yahoo group is the JMRI group, they will probably not have found the
install instructions if they did not belong.

I must admit I am scared to do that, but yes, it should be the first
step.  There has been talk of making our own "Live" CD. (Or would it
need to be a DVD, which is a problem as we are aiming at "Doorstop"
PCs.)

Perhaps however one could put it all in a tar ball?  (Would still need
Java)?
