I totally agree with that! Not that I've ever seriously used another RSS reader, but Google Reader is, in my opinion, a pretty good example of how AJAX can really make a website better and not just look more impressive. Being able to browser through your items using the keyboard is something that more sites should offer - it makes my life so much easier. Well, the part of my life that I spend reading blogs, newspapers and magazines, of course, but that's quite a bit part I'd say. :) GMail, for instance, could do with an 'show only unread posts' option.
