Draytek never seem to properly test their firmware, so there are huge bugs, things not working that are meant to, etc. When you complain you're told it works for them, or its' on their list for a fix. Eventually a new firmware might come out that fixes the problem but breaks something else, or just hasn't fixed it at all. To take the 2800 as an example, it still doesn't work properly at ADSL2+, it's slightly iffy at ADSL1, the wireless is useless, the voip side is a bit buggy, multicast doesn't work, QoS is broken in the newest firmwares, the PPTP VPN server is a little finnicky, traceroute has problems, and that's all off the top of my head. If you look at the Draytek UK forums you can find more issues. The 2600 also had a load of bugs that never got fixed, it was dumped for the 2800. I think mine is still running a beta firmware, just so the wireless actually works to some degree. I'm going to replace this 2800 soon with an (albeit older) Cisco 827, I am waiting for more RAM for it to arrive. Already I'm pleased at how everything works!
