Hmm - I'll maybe try a kernel upgrade on that box.

After I failed to get GNOME to work with sshfs, I failed to get SDM to
work instead, which was my attempt to bypass the local install, and run
it all from the server.

SDM seems to be pretty simple, so I'm not sure where I went wrong, it
just kept asking for a password on the console of the client machine,
after it started a generic X session.
